I received my PhD. degree in computer science from Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, Canada, in 2016 and the certificate in university teaching and learning from Simon Fraser University, where I currently work as a University Research Associate in Big Data Systems. My research interests include computer and network virtualization, and performance issues in cloud computing. As a student I received the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship in 2013. I was a recipient of the best student paper award at the IEEE/ACM 21st International Workshop on Quality of Service for my paper Understanding the Impact of Denial of Service Attacks on Virtual Machines in 2012. My publications include a point of view article in the Proceedings of the IEEE titled “The Future of Cloud Gaming”.
